Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of children as a Summer Club Programmer at YMCA 6th Avenue School Age Child Care in Kamloops. Focus on supportive programming and inclusive activities.
The Summer Club Programmer position is a full-time, temporary role from June 22 to September 4, 2026, at YMCA Kamloops. You will collaborate closely with staff to create a nurturing atmosphere where children 5-12 can thrive. Major responsibilities include planning dynamic activities and ensuring individual support while fostering a sense of belonging.
Key Responsibilities: • Design engaging, age-appropriate activities for children • Maintain a safe, inclusive environment for all participants • Supervise and manage children during activities • Assist in developing care plans for children with special needs • Communicate effectively with parents and staff daily
