Join a vital program as the Fire Operations Manager for the Wildfire Service located in Thompson, Manitoba. This full-time role is centered on the comprehensive management of wildfire operations and resource coordination.
You will play an essential role in planning, implementing, and overseeing the wildfire management strategies for the Northern Fire Region. This includes coordination between various facilities, direct interaction with Indigenous communities, and the procurement of vital services for operational success. Your leadership will guide teams to meet strategic objectives effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan key wildfire management initiatives and strategies
• Oversee fire warehouse and mechanic shop operations
• Manage resources and logistical efforts regionally
• Lead engagement efforts with stakeholders and community groups
• Provide advice to senior leaders on complex wildfire issues
