Job Description
Supervision of welding department activities ranging from production, continuous improvement of welding activities, and overseeing staff (fitters, welders, etc.)Ensure operation activities are accomplished at or above budgeted efficiencyEnsure implementation of and compliance to the quality program – reducing waste by identifying problems and implementing corrective measuresResponsible for meeting written housekeeping standards in assigned area and reinforce the importance of keep working area clean and organizedEnsure departmental cost expenditure is effectiveHire, evaluate, and discipline/terminate employees (as needed)Ensure employees are trained properly to perform their tasksDevelop / maintain positive relationships with suppliers and customersWork closely with internal Customer Service Rep, Scheduler, Sales person, and Product Development Engineer as needed towards goal of delivering quality product on ti...
