Welder/Fitter

Position Description

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Welder/Fitter to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Power Bus Way Team in Mississauga, ON . The Welder/Fitter will be responsible for welding and fitting metal components per drawings to create finished structures or products.

What Will You Do?

• Interpret drawings to select pre-cut metal plate and sheet parts.
• Operate a saw and cut bars, tubes, etc. to specific lengths and angles per drawings.
• Take prepared metal components and fit together per drawings.
• Set up and operate welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using various welding techniques, to complete the project.
• Operate manual MIG & TIG welding machines.
• Finish welds (e.g., grinding, cleaning).
• Inspect product to ensure it is structurally sound and adheres to quality standards.
