Water and Wastewater Services is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all the municipal water and wastewater facilities, including water treatment plants, the water distribution systems, water pumping stations, water towers, water meters, sewage treatment plants, sewage collection systems, and sewage pumping stations.

Purpose and Scope

Reporting to the Manager of Water and Wastewater Services and/or the Overall Responsible Operator (ORO), the Water Treatment Plant Operator 1 is responsible for operating and maintaining the process control equipment for the municipality’s water treatment plants including any associated booster and pumping stations.
