Participate in NVA Canada’s VT Practicum Program, where your commitment to animal care will grow. For two to eight weeks, you will develop practical skills under the supervision of seasoned veterinarians and registered veterinary technicians. Training will include surgery assistance, dental procedures, and lab work, essential for your future role in veterinary medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation and anesthesia of surgical patients
• Support veterinarians during orthopedic and general surgeries
• Conduct dental cleanings and imaging
• Carry out wound care and provide fluid therapy
• Engage in radiology and lab testing procedures
