Vendor Management Category Manager Position
Job Description
Join our team as a Category Manager to oversee vendor relations and product specifications. This role, based in Ottawa, focuses on maximizing sales and margins for convenience stores.
We are seeking a skilled Category Manager with a background in retail operations. In this role, you will handle vendor negotiations, develop business plans, and enhance promotional strategies to increase sales and margin percentages. You will also ensure relevant communication across teams to drive success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Negotiate agreements with convenience store vendors
• Manage product specifications and assortments
• Develop plans based on market trends and sales data
• Identify promotional items to boost sales
• Support updates to the ERP price book system
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field
• At least three years of relevant experience
• Strong persuasive communication skills
