Under general supervision, performs systematic inspections, overhauls of component parts, preventive maintenance routines and other related duties on light or heavy vehicles to determine the cause of failure, analyze and recommend the required repairs, verify the adequacy of completed repair work and certify vehicles as roadworthy.
