Transport Planning assistant job description:
Assist in ensuring the planned runs are achieved in a timely manner exceeding customer needs.Communicating with operations department, customers and hauliersManaging all POD’s, uploading them into the TMS and sending any POD requests onto the customer or colleagueKeeping the transport and sub-contractor log up to dateSpeaking to drivers throughout the day, checking on progress and dealing with any issues that may arise during the shiftFollowing and improving processes linked to performanceBooking out of area or hazardous jobs onto the pallet network/Hazchem portalsProviding quotes internally and externally, via calls and emails
