Town of Coaldale | Summer Bylaw Intern

The Coaldale District Municipal Enforcement (CDME) Intern will work as a sworn Bylaw Officer for the Town of Coaldale. The successful candidate will investigate and enforce bylaw offences including unsightly properties, barking dog complaints, dogs off‑leash complaints, parking offences, and other municipal regulations. The intern will also conduct Automated Traffic Enforcement (ATE).

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Promote positive public relations at all times
• Conduct enforcement and investigations in accordance with Provincial Statutes and Municipal Bylaws
• Deploy Automated Enforcement Devices as directed, including assigned dates, times, and locations
• Complete reports and maintain accurate notes as required
• Present evidence in court proceedings when necessary
• Complete basic cleaning and inspection of equipment
• Perform other related duties as assigned
