Job Description
Meeting with clients to discuss tiling and marbling requirements. Measuring the area to be tiled or marbled in order to determine stock requirements. Giving clients accurate estimates for the intended job.
Purchasing stock supplies and assembling tiling equipment. Creating custom-sized tiles or marble. The surface should be cleaned and leveled.
Applying tiling cement and arranging tiles or marble to design specifications. Tiling grout is being applied. Cleaning excess grout and carrying out post-installation inspections Work invoices are processed.
Requirements GED or high school diploma Prior experience as a tile and marble setter is required. Excellent communication abilities. Carpentry fundamentals Advanced mathematical abilities The ability to use hand and machine cutting tools Understanding of tiling designs and installation methods.
