Job Description
The Supported Child Development Consultant will carry out developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for children. The Consultant will use teaching techniques that include modeling, observing, questioning, and demonstrating, while working with children with diverse abilities. The SCD Consultant must be a team player, as they will work with multiple-disciplinary staff in an array of settings including setup, cleanup and ensuring a healthy and safe work environment.
Duties and Responsabilities Assess each child’s needs for Supported Child Development, plan and implement appropriate intervention and participate in client conferences, case reviews and team meetings.
Works directly with the child in the childcare setting by assisting the child with activities as needed to promote the inclusion of special needs children in community programs.
