Supplier Quality Engineer

Job purpose
This position involves the development of reliable suppliers by assessing supplier capabilities, implementing monitoring, and overseeing an effective metrics and problem reporting and resolution process.
The work is technical in nature, following the Supplier Performance Development Process (SPDP) tasks, as well as ethical guidelines established by Supply Chain Management.
Key responsibilities
- Meet all departmental and competency objectives.
- Implement Production Cycle tasks from SPDP.
- Resolve and document part quality issues with suppliers using BorgWarner tools: the SPS (Supplier Performance System), I Valua system and PowerBi System.
- Review supplier corrective actions and provide timely feedback to suppliers and BorgWarner stakeholders.
- Emphasize the use of 5-Why analysis to validate the root cause/corrective action chosen.
- Emphasize the use of BorgWarner's 8D format.
