Supervisor, Surgical Centre

OVERVIEW

The Supervisor reports to the Manager and ensures patient care services are delivered with high quality, safety and consistency on a daily basis. This is achieved through continuous supervision of care team members to promote patient‑centered, timely and efficient care. The Supervisor enables team members to coordinate and integrate services and encourages ongoing performance improvement. The incumbent maximizes the use of available resources to facilitate efficient patient throughput and patient care excellence at the TEHN Surgical Centre. The Supervisor role will be located at the TEHN Surgical Centre (20 Wynford Dr.). The incumbent may be assigned to Michael Garron Hospital (825 Coxwell Ave.) as required.

EDUCATION

• Undergraduate degree in Administration or a clinical discipline
• Current certificate of competence issued by the discipline’s licensing body in Ontario
• OR certificate required
