Detailed Overview
Under the general supervision of the Manager, this position coordinates the movement of patients, equipment, and material through the Hospital, supervises designated employees in the daily operations of the distribution area and performs portering functions as required. Responsibilities Plans, organizes and coordinates patient, equipment and material movement throughout the Hospital; coordinates workflow of assigned area by establishing priorities, organizational standards and operating procedures to allocate work. Supervises designated staff by performing duties such as scheduling and coordinating work assignments, assists Manager in conducting performance evaluations and determines related training and orientation requirements. Develops, oversees and updates standards and procedures; ensures safety practices and procedures are adhered to.
