Summer Student – Physician Support

Full Job Description

We are currently looking for a Temporary Full‑Time Summer Student to support our Physicians at the Espanola Family Health Team. The successful candidate will play an integral and collaborative role within the healthcare team, contributing to the overall patient experience.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated knowledge of the role of interdisciplinary healthcare providers as part of a collaborative team. Throughout the summer the incumbent will work within functions such as patient assessment, health promotion and education (including supporting preventative care initiatives), collaboration and communication, documentation, immunizations and screenings, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) management, patient flow coordination, problem resolution, cultural sensitivity, and organization of the Physician Hub area.
