Summer Mentor for Newcomer Chinese Children

• Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age
• Volunteers will be assisting children with reading, writing, pronunciation and comprehension
• Volunteers will be helping kids obtain better learning habits
• Volunteers will help students become more familiar with the Canadian culture through a wide variety of activities and games
• Volunteers are matched with a student for one‑to‑one work
• Time commitment is a minimum of 1 day per week; shifts are Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday 1:00‑4:00 p.m.
• Volunteers must be able to commit to the entire 6 weeks, July 6 to August 13, 2026
