Minimum Qualifications
- California credential authorizing service as a school nurse. Hold valid California drivers license and provide personal motor vehicle. Hold valid certificates in audiometry, CPR and first aid.
- Experience
- Five years successful nursing experience
Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist in planning the school health budget.
- Obtain a general health and developmental history for Special Education placement studies
- Transport sick children as deemed necessary
- Refer pupils for appropriate health care and follows through as needed
- Review health status of pupils with identified health problems
- Conduct vision, hearing and scoliosis screening as required by law
- Identify pupils and families in need of health counseling and makes appropriate referral
