Strategic Actuarial Lead
Job Description
- Project Leadership: Own and lead actuarial projects from inception to delivery, ensuring technical accuracy in pricing, reserving, and forecasting
- Reserving & Valuation: Lead quarterly and annual reserve reviews, setting critical assumptions and interpreting results for senior stakeholders.
- Modeling Excellence: Guide the development and validation of sophisticated rating and loss models using internal data and industry benchmarks.
- Strategic Communication: Present complex actuarial findings and recommendations to management, facilitating discussions that impact business strategy.
- Team Mentorship: Champion the professional development of the team by reviewing peer work and coaching junior analysts.
- Operational Innovation: Act as a champion of change by automating workflows and enhancing analytical frameworks using SQL, Python, or R.
