About The Role
8am is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing team. The Staff Accountant plays a key role in the month‑end close process and will report to the Director of Accounting. The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting background, comprehensive understanding of GAAP and strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
What You'll Do
- Perform month‑end close functions for multiple entities
- Cross train with accounting team on prepaids, fixed assets, and other functional areas as assigned
- Record cash transaction activity and reconcile all bank accounts
- Support financial and tax audits by providing PBC schedules and documentation as assigned
- Ensure procedures are in accordance with GAAP requirements and accounting department policies
- Perform ad‑hoc analysis as requested
