Sr. Engineer - Operational & Workplace Safety (Edmonton)

Key Responsibilities

• Establish, implement and verify safe work practices for high‑risk work activities such as work at heights, confined space entry, LOTO, hotwork etc.
• Manage and own electronic PermitToWork system (ePTW)
• Analyze data to identify recurring risk trends, weak controls, gaps, and drive corrective & preventive actions, translating learning into safety promotion and campaigns
• Maintain and own GFS License Management System (LMS) including critical licenses and permits
• Develop, implement and maintain Contractor Safety Management Program to ensure compliance with GFSEHSS requirements
• Prepare, plan and conduct mandatory EHSS briefing, training for contractors onboarding
• Plan and execute targeted safety promotion programs and campaigns aligned with best practices, incident learnings, high‑risk activities, safety suggestion and feedback
