SPECIALIZED NURSE PRACTITIONER (1915) at CBHSSJB

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
A person who, within the scope of their specialty and in accordance with the legislation in effect, orients, assesses, provides primary care services and ensures the clinical follow-up of clients of all ages. The Nurse Practitioner exercises autonomously within their scope of practice: she assesses the physical and mental condition of clients, makes a diagnosis, prescribes diagnostic tests, medications and medical treatments, and performs invasive techniques in accordance with her reserved activities. She ensures the comprehensive and continuous management of the clientele, in partnership with the family physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
