Special Counsel to the Vice-Chairs

The Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) is the industry-funded regulator responsible for administering the province's securities laws. It is entrusted with fostering a fair and efficient capital market in Alberta and with protecting investors. As a member of the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA), the ASC works to improve, coordinate and harmonize the regulation of Canada's capital markets.

The opportunity

The Vice-Chairs serve in both advisory and decision-making roles. The Vice-Chairs participate with the Chair in ASC and CSA policy committees and represent the ASC in Canadian and international regulatory organizations. The Vice-Chairs serve on administrative hearing panels and have primary responsibility for making panel decisions and issuing written reasons.
