Social Worker – Women's and Children's Program

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive Social Work services for the Women’s and Children’s Program – primarily in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with inpatient cross coverage/support as needed to Paediatrics, Obstetrics, and Birthing Suites. The Social Worker is an integral part of the multi‑disciplinary team and is required to have flexibility to address urgent care as the need arises and be able to provide in-depth psychosocial assessments, and treatment to families of critically ill babies.

Qualifications

• MSW and Registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers – required
• 2–3 years of experience within Women’s and Children’s areas
• Competency in completing psychosocial assessments and developing/implementing a plan of intervention which addresses coping and adjustment to the NICU admission
