Small Engine Mechanic
Job Description
Amentum is seeking a **Small Engine Mechanic** to join our team on **Andros Island, Bahamas** to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. **This position is reserved for Bahamian citizens only.** **Must be a citizen of the Bahamas.**
**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Maintain, repair, and service small engines found in various equipment. This includes diagnosing issues, performing routine maintenance, and making necessary repairs to ensure the equipment runs safely and efficiently.
+ Maintain all small engine equipment in the Supply Tool Crib, Boat Yard, and Ball Field Lawnmower Sheds and Site-2 Navy Base.
+ Report directly to the Roads & Grounds Manager.
+ Identify and diagnose problems with engines, including electrical, mechanical, and fuel system issues.
+ Perform routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, spark plug replacements, and lubricating parts.
