Shift Sub-Head - Operations Engineer (Winnipeg)

Job Summary

The Operations Shift Leader is responsible for the control and operation of the UBC campus facilities. Utilizes the Siemens, Delta, and Johnson Controls building management systems (BMS) to monitor and provide remedial action for sudden incidents and failures of campus mechanical systems and equipment. Works closely with the Operating Engineers to ensure the safe operation of facilities, ensuring all equipment is operated safely and efficiently. Supervises shift teams composed of Shift and Relief Operating Engineers, as delegated by the Operations Head and Sub-Heads. Ensures employees adhere to UBC’s policies and procedures, and work is done on schedule and in conformity with the requirements of the work order and in compliance with applicable codes, guidelines, and safety regulations as they relate to Technical Safety BC (TSBC), the BC Building Code and WorkSafeBC.
