Settlement Outreach Worker - Long Term Occasional - 0.86 FTE

Qualifications and Experience

: Three-year college diploma in social work, psychology or a related field. A minimum of one-year experience with newcomers to Canada is required. Knowledge of community agencies and supports (e.g. Ontario Works, Employment centres), IRCC Settlement regulations and community and provincial demographics is an asset. Related employment or volunteer experience in social work or immigration services is an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Oral and written fluency in English is required. Travel may be a requirement of the position. Skills Required: Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a variety of responsibilities concurrently. Ability to set objectives, plan work in advance and meet deadlines.
