Job Description
Position Overview Elk Valley Resources (EVR) operates four steelmaking coal mines in the Elk Valley of British Columbia. This co‑op placement supports operational safety and data management related to tailings facilities.
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: 8 or 12 months
Responsibilities
Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies.
Manage the performance of instruments using GeoExplorer Software.
Analyze and process data to support operational planning and reporting requirements.
Support routine field tasks such as dam safety inspections and field data collection.
Complete basic troubleshooting and repair of geotechnical equipment.
Assist with various audits and internal self‑assessments to demonstrate compliance to tailings and mining regulatory requirements.
Update inspection databases and organize technical documentation.
