Job Summary
The Senior Procurement Agent is responsible for procuring material, capital equipment, and services for Hydro Ottawa’s and Energy Ottawa’s Capital, Maintenance, and other projects. The agent must meet Hydro Ottawa standards, deliver within the specified time frame, and secure the most favorable price in accordance with Hydro Ottawa policies, procedures, and Code of Business Conduct.
Major Responsibilities
- Identify potential supply sources appropriate to the scope and nature of Hydro Ottawa’s requirement.
- Collaborate with clients to fully understand procurement needs and recommend the most appropriate acquisition method (competitive process, Directed Source, or Sole Source).
- Review client specifications for compliance with standards, completeness, and accuracy, and update accordingly.
- Determine evaluation criteria and pricing to ensure respondents are fairly and comprehensively evaluated.
