Senior Medical Laboratory Assistant

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Laboratory Client and Support Centre Technical Manager, the Senior Medical Laboratory Assistant (Senior MLA) performs various functions within the laboratory relating to the pre and post-analytical phases of testing. The Senior MLA is in a team lead role supporting the division/site with technical expertise, quality assurance, adherence to policy and practices and mentorship within the scope of employment of a Medical Laboratory Assistant. Under the guidance of the Technical Supervisor or Technical Specialist , the Senior MLA may assist with the oversight and/or implementation of work processes, training and the redirection of resources to respond to fluctuations in operational workload.
