Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our onsite team at Southampton, the successful candidate will deal with all aspects of machine lifecycle, in a predominantly hands‑on role. You will be required to fault find electrical and electronic problems in state‑of‑the‑art computer‑controlled semiconductor equipment to logic‑based systems from the 1980s, reverse engineering systems when the OEM no longer exists, and find solutions. You will also be required to design and develop one‑off bespoke test solutions; every project is different and may be a mixture of electrical, electronic, mechanical, vacuum systems, pneumatic, lasers or software. Projects will also require costing, budget approval and the preparation of documentation (operator manuals, maintenance manuals, circuit diagrams and technical construction files).
