About Our Client

Our client, located in Scarborough (4 days in office), is an exciting & dynamic utilities company and looking for a Senior Manager, Tax to join their team.

Essential Tasks

• Overall management of the tax compliance process (Canadian, and US) for corporations, trust, and partnerships that are prepared by the Big 4 accounting firms
• Correspondence with CRA, Revenue Quebec, IRS, and other tax authorities as a main point of contact
• Review select HST/GST/QST compliance of corporate entities and development
• Annual filings for selected listed financial institution HST/GST/QST
• Work with finance team supporting with preparing tax projections
• Research and analyze tax matters and inquiries related to tax planning strategies for new projects
• Design and recommend technology and process
• Design, document, and implement internal controls and processes where needed.
