Job Description
Overview We are looking for numerous Senior Health Physicists for CANDU reactor refurbishment projects nationally and/or internationally. This would be an excellent role for an experienced operational Health Physicist with CANDU reactor refurbishment experience looking to be in a management position.
Your role Lead a Team Of Health Physicists Who Will
Prepare and approve radioactive work plans to support station refurbishment activities.
Develop and deliver radiation protection training associated with refurbishment.
Develop and recommend radiation safety controls for radiological work such as irradiated component removal from the reactor core and radioactive waste processing.
Perform ALARA planning to support CANDU large scale core component removal and replacement.
Review design descriptions, details and recommend worker dose reduction strategies.
