Job Description
Take on a pivotal role as Finance Director for Utilities Regulation in Edmonton. Drive strategic financial leadership in the review and approval of utility rates and policies for public utilities.
This position reports to the Deputy City Treasurer, focusing on municipal utilities such as Water and Wastewater managed by EPCOR. You will provide financial oversight, leveraging your expertise in regulatory processes and complex analytics. By leading a dedicated team, you'll engage with stakeholders to advance governance and ensure that utility services align with performance objectives and community needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the financing and regulations of utility services
• Coordinate utility rate applications and public hearings
• Develop financial models and analytic frameworks
• Prepare and present reports to City Council
• Mentor finance professionals to ensure compliant service delivery
Requirements:
• Degree in Business, Commerce, or Economics
