Senior Estimator - Civil

PME Inc. joined the EllisDon group of companies in 2012 and functions as a self‑performing, heavy civil contractor. PME offers a comprehensive range of services, such as Earthworks and Undergrounds, Pipeline, and Railways.

Senior Estimator Responsibilities

• Confidently lead a team through project procurement, the bid process and pre‑construction
• Work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Mentor and train junior estimating staff
• Assemble accurate, detailed, and well‑organized budgets and estimates
• Work with various contract types – including Time and Material, Unit rate, Design Build and Lump sum
• Organize sub‑contractor quotes when the bid is successful, re‑writing binders and assisting the buy‑out process
• Monitor the success of a project, assist with value engineering and note potential challenges
• Build and maintain relationships with sub‑trades for future opportunities
