Senior Coil Slitter
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Daily and prior to use, inspects slitter and measuring devices for defective operation and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions.
Observes work order as not to exceed capacity of equipment.
Reads work orders for specifications to determine machine set up and material requirements.
Inspects material to ensure it meets quality standards of customer.
Operates the machines main control panel and observes flow of material through machine to detect irregular uncoiling, cutting and recoiling or machine malfunction.
Coordinates and assists in the machines set up and change over of new set ups for coils.
Measures material dimensions by using tape measure; micrometer and calipers to determine product is being processed to customer specifications and quality standards.
Band and secure coils at the end of the slitting process
