Senior Claims Adjuster – Transportation Liability

Under technical direction, you will manage moderate to high complexity Transportation Liability claims (Motor Truck Cargo Legal Liability and Freight Forwarder Legal Liability) and work within specific limits of authority.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform duties in accordance with departmental guidelines.
• Interpret policy terms and conditions to determine coverage applicability and escalating issues as needed.
• Set activities, reserves, and authorize payments within scope of authority while managing expenses.
• Coordinate investigations and evaluate claims and suits through contact with insureds, claimants, business partners, witnesses, and experts, pursuing early resolution opportunities.
• Identify potential fraud files and refer to the Special Investigations Unit.
• Assign independent adjusters/surveyors and attorneys per established guidelines.
