Become an integral part of School District 71 as a Secondary Online Learning Counsellor. Provide crucial mental health support to students in a flexible online setting.
This position entails delivering mental health support and guidance to grades 10-12 students through innovative online resources. You will play a vital role in counseling students and families, developing IEPs, and ensuring smooth transitions to post-secondary opportunities. Your ability to lead engaging classes on mental health topics is essential for fostering student resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate online and in-person mental health classes
• Manage behavior and mental health IEPs effectively
• Counsel students on graduation and further education opportunities
• Provide crisis support and maintain communication with local agencies
• Coordinate record-keeping and awards committee communications
Requirements:
• Master's Degree in educational counselling, psychology or similar
