Sanitation Worker

Responsibilities

The Warehouse Sanitation/Worker is responsible for cleaning and upkeeping the cleanliness of the entire warehouse. Using the proper tools (Sky Jack, Chemicals, Cleaning Tools) and adhering to health and safety rules.

Cleaning & Sanitation – 95% of Time

• Clean and sanitize all interior warehouse areas to Prairie Meats standards
• Clean all surfaces including racking, walls, ceilings, doors, floors, and windows using appropriate tools and chemicals
• Sweeping indoor
• Empty garbage and recycling receptacles
• Operate Sky Jack (aerial work platform) to safely clean elevated areas. In-house certification training available
• Apply cleaning chemicals safely and in compliance with WHMIS and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements

Outside Premises Maintenance

• Sweep
• Shovel snow
• Perform grass cutting and general grounds upkeep
