Registered Veterinary Technologist – Ophthalmology

The Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency (C.A.R.E.) Centre is a full‑functioning referral hospital offering a wide range of specialist services. The role is part of the ophthalmology team.
Responsibilities
- Start appointments and maintain accurate patient records.
- Perform electroretinography (ERG) and intra‑ocular pressure (IOP) measurements.
- Collect and run blood samples.
- Assist with mechanical ventilator and paralytic anesthesia, performing daily anesthesia duties and additional after‑hours anesthesia as required.
- Communicate with clients: update status, book appointments, admit/discharge for surgery and reply to messages.
