The Opportunity
The City of Red Deer is currently recruiting for a temporary Roads Labour Foreperson 1 - Compliance . This position is responsible for the inspection of road rights-of-way for violations of various Red Deer Bylaws in development areas and in preparation of Roads Section maintenance programs.
Top Key Responsibilities
- Receive job assignments and priorities directly from the Supervisor and coordinate activities within time schedules and required specifications and standards.
- Performs thorough site inspections, including potentially unsafe sites, to assess situations, gather evidence and determine non-compliance with bylaws. Prepares detailed and precise notes and files.
- Contacts and works with tenants and owners to gain voluntary compliance.
- Arranges and coordinates the clean-up of sites, as required.
