We are seeking an energetic, community‑minded reporter with a passion for writing accurate and engaging stories to cover all Town of Rocky news and related assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct themselves in a respectful manner and dress appropriately.
- Cover all Town of Rocky news, including regular council meetings (first and third Tuesdays of the month).
- Generate content for special sections.
- Write and photograph breaking news, sports, industry coverage, politics, feature, and outdoor/environmental assignments.
- Work flex‑time, including some weekend and evening assignments.
Qualifications:
- Journalism diploma or certificate.
- Adherence to journalism ethics and the news media code of practice.
- Personal transportation and camera.
