Regulatory Engineer

ResponsibilitiesAdvise GM personnel, technical staff, government relations/public policy staff, and management on global environmental, emissions, vehicle safety, autonomous vehicle, dangerous-goods transportation, and substances‐of‐concern laws and regulations.Advise GM personnel, technical staff, government relations/public policy staff, and management on critical compliance risks and obligations relating to GM products, facilities, and operations.Represent GM before federal and state authorities, agencies, administrative tribunals, and courts in regulatory matters and disputes.Review proposed laws and regulations, and provide legal advice in support of efforts to influence rulemaking and lawmaking.Support GM participation in trade association matters.Support the drafting, review, and negotiation of legal agreements.Required Skills1-2 years of experience in Mexican regulations, integrity, government relations, and negotiations; knowledge of vehicle components.Proficiency with Micr...
