Regulatory and Financial Forecast Accountant

Maritime Electric Company, Limited is seeking candidates for the position of Regulatory and Financial Forecast Accountant.

Reporting to the Director, Regulatory and Financial Planning, the Regulatory and Financial Forecast Accountant is a key member of the Company’s finance team working in a dynamic and challenging environment.

This role will support the five year financial planning process including updating the planning model for actual results on a monthly basis and implementing changes to the model as required; performing regulatory account reconciliations and proactively analyzing changes to regulatory accounts as a result of regulatory orders; assisting in the preparation of financial evidence required in regulatory applications including but not limited to General Rate Applications, Capital Budget applications and applications related to regulatory deferral accounts; and performing quality control checks of regulatory filings as required.
