Main duties of the job
The Care of the Elderly post is detailed below and could be available to start as early as May 2026, however we understand that a notice period may need to be given in a candidates current role. A shadow period will be provided for on-calls, and solo on-calls wouldn't begin until July / August 2026.
Core: The post holder will be responsible for the continuity of patient care for patients being treated on Care of the Elderly wards including opportunities to work on the Older Persons Assessment Unit, Kewstoke ward (acute medicine for the older person), Uphill ward (acute medicine for the older person ward and stroke rehabilitation) and Draycott ward (complex discharge).
