The Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) works within their scope of professional practice in a team environment to collect samples and is responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic tests on patient specimens, for analysing and interpreting test results and prepare reports to assist in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. Responsible for ensuring quality patient care through continuous planning and uses clinical knowledge and skills to promote the delivery of optimal care to all patients.
