ROLE

• The nurse fulfilling this role will provide support to all clinical areas of the hospital according to their scope of practice and clinical expertise.
• Administer direct nursing care for patients in assigned areas.
• Plan, organize, and deliver nursing care in a variety of settings.
• Initiate and assist in Code Blue & Rapid Response procedures.
• Plan for and communicate to other nursing staff regarding patient needs and priorities to ensure continuity of care when leaving one patient care area.
• Communicate with physicians, other departments, or organizations regarding issues affecting patient care.
