Job Description
Become part of The Royal’s mission as a Registered Practical Nurse in the Secure Treatment Unit at Brockville Mental Health Centre. This part-time, temporary role involves flexible scheduling including days, nights, and weekends.
With a 0.5 FTE workload, you’ll work closely with individuals experiencing mental health challenges, employing evidence-based assessments and treatments. To excel in this position, you need a Practical Nursing diploma, knowledge of CNO standards, and past psychiatric nursing experience. You will be responsible for ensuring mental wellness and creating therapeutic relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee medication administration and patient assessments
• Support the delivery of evidence-based therapeutic interventions
• Run glucose tests and monitor vital signs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic care
• Assist patients during ECT recovery and monitor their condition
