Registered Nurse - Trauma

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive patient and family centered care on an acute surgical unit in accordance with the UAH and AHS policy and procedures. 3F2 is an 18+ bed Trauma Unit providing care to patients received from the operating room, emergency department, intensive care unit and directly from home and/or surgery clinics. Decisions are made in collaborative multidisciplinary team environment. The RN is expected to participate in quality improvement initiatives, supporting and maintaining high quality patient care strategies within the surgery program. The RN is expected to take on the responsibility of charge nurse as required. The Regulated Casual Surgery Float Pool is responsible for providing relief staffing to 9 18+ bed units consisting of Plastic/Reconstructive, 2 General Surgery units, Urology, ENT/Otolarangology, and 3 Orthopedic Surgeryunits.
