Detailed Overview

In accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards of practice and the mission and values of Fraser Health, the Perioperative Clinical Leader provides leadership in the delivery of patient/client care activities in defined areas of clinical expertise, consistent with clinical best practices and in accordance with established policies, standards and philosophy of the Surgical Services Program. Provides clinical leadership, guidance and support to team members and acts as clinical resource for nurses, nursing students, SPD Technicians and other interdisciplinary team members. Assists staff to provide quality care and related quality assurance requirements to patient/client population by providing information based on specialized theory/practice, assesses clinical/technical skills and participates in direct patient/client care.
